Can you lease a used CUPRA?
Yes. Second Life Leasing offers pre-leased CUPRA cars for personal and business leasing in the UK, with full maintenance and premium replacement tyres included. Browse our current CUPRA stock and compare the electric Born with the plug-in hybrid Formentor and Terramar when available.
You choose a specific car with its own photographs, specification and recorded mileage. Pay an initial rental followed by monthly rentals, then return the car at the agreed end. Applications are subject to approval.
Where does my CUPRA come from?
Second Life Leasing’s CUPRA cars come directly from Lex Autolease, part of Lloyds Banking Group, after their first lease. Lex continues to own the car and offers it for another lease. We help you choose and arrange it; your hire agreement is with Lex Autolease.
A first lease with a known history
Lex bought the car from new and managed its first lease, with agreed mileage, servicing and return standards. That gives your next CUPRA a known leasing history. The individual listing and vehicle information tell you about the particular car you are considering.
Safety checks and preparation
Each car goes through safety checks and preparation for its next driver. It is still a used car, and we will highlight known minor cosmetic imperfections before you decide, so you can picture what will arrive.
What are the current CUPRA lease prices?
The car you choose, contract term, annual mileage and payment profile all affect the rental. Compare the initial payment as well as the monthly figure when deciding what fits your budget.
There are currently no live CUPRA personal lease examples. Check all current CUPRA stock or return here when matching cars are available.
Which CUPRA model and version should you choose?
Born: the fully electric hatchback
Start with the Born if you want a five-door hatchback and are ready to charge rather than fill up with petrol. The earlier range includes 58kWh and 77kWh battery versions, with e-Boost versions adding performance. CUPRA’s UK e-Boost announcement distinguishes those combinations. Compare the battery and motor together: V1, V2 and V3 describe equipment levels and do not, on their own, identify the battery.
The later Born VZ is a separate performance choice with a 79kWh battery, as set out in its July 2024 UK introduction. Give the seats, wheels and everyday ride priorities as much thought as the power figure. The version that suits a daily commute need not be the most powerful one.
Formentor e-Hybrid: a lower crossover with petrol backup
The Formentor suits a different routine: its plug-in hybrid system combines a rechargeable battery with a petrol engine. Regular charging lets you use its electric capability for local driving, while the petrol engine gives you another way to cover a longer journey. It is a useful alternative to the Born if that flexibility matters more to you than driving a battery-electric car.
Earlier 1.4 e-Hybrid versions include 204PS and 245PS choices. The 2023 manufacturer brochure covers that generation. The updated Formentor introduced in 2024 uses a newer 1.5 e-Hybrid system, including a 272PS version. Its launch information describes the change. Compare each car’s battery and charging hardware directly; a later car’s electric capability should not be assumed for an earlier one.
Terramar e-Hybrid: compare the SUV seating and family space
Look at the Terramar alongside the Formentor if a more upright SUV shape appeals. The 1.5 e-Hybrid range includes 204PS and 272PS versions; both are plug-in hybrids rather than battery-electric cars. The April 2025 UK guide is the appropriate starting point for those early cars.
Compare rear-door access, the space for child seats and the boot with the rear seats set for your passengers. Check the plug-in hybrid’s own luggage figures rather than a petrol Terramar specification. When choosing between V2 and VZ2, put the features you use every day ahead of a badge or wheel design that simply looks attractive in a photograph.
Born or e-Hybrid: choose around your charging routine
The Born runs solely on electricity; the Formentor and Terramar e-Hybrids also use petrol. Think about where the car will park overnight and whether plugging in is convenient. A charging point you can use regularly is more useful than choosing a plug-in model and rarely connecting it.
Choose the equipment you will use
Check the seat shape and adjustment, parking aids and infotainment controls in the actual CUPRA. Names such as V2, V3 and VZ2 need reading alongside the model and production period; they are not a universal equipment checklist across the range.
Equipment and charging specifications can change during production. Confirm the manufacturer’s specification, fitted options, cables and any connected-service subscriptions for the actual car before ordering; registration year and trim name alone do not tell the whole story.

What comes with my CUPRA lease?
Second Life Leasing’s full maintenance package brings the routine upkeep into your lease, helping you plan for more than the rental alone.
Servicing, maintenance and premium replacement tyres
Servicing, maintenance, replacement tyres and MOT when required are included. Replacement tyres are premium brands, with mobile fitting where possible. Collection and return for servicing and maintenance are included, subject to limitations.
Breakdown cover and road fund tax
Breakdown cover includes a replacement vehicle for up to 48 hours if needed, plus cover for driving abroad. Check the overseas arrangements with Lex before travelling. Road fund tax is included for the duration of your lease.
Online support
The Lex Vehicle Leasing app gives you a way to book servicing, request support and find your contract documents. Use the lease company’s support route for your maintained agreement.
What do I pay for separately?
Allow for insurance and fuel or charging. Your quote and agreement also explain applicable fees and contract charges, including excess mileage and damage charges. Included maintenance helps with budgeting without making every motoring cost fixed.
What happens if my CUPRA develops a fault?
Contact Lex Autolease through its support process. Under Second Life Leasing’s full maintenance offering, Lex arranges covered repairs in line with your agreement, so you have a clear route to getting help.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty matter?
Where a manufacturer’s warranty applies, Lex handles the claim behind the scenes. Your repair support follows the maintained lease agreement; you do not need to work out the remaining manufacturer’s warranty before reporting a problem.
What about an electric CUPRA’s battery?
Our pre-leased battery-electric CUPRA cars come with a guaranteed minimum battery condition of 85% at delivery. That is a delivery baseline, rather than a guarantee throughout the lease or a promise of a particular driving range.
Can I choose the term and mileage?
Yes. Each car’s listing shows its available contract terms, annual mileage allowances and payment profiles. Choose mileage around your normal year, including commuting, business journeys and holidays.
The payment profile determines how much you pay initially and in subsequent rentals. Choose a term you are comfortable committing to, and review the agreement’s provisions and charges for changing or ending it early.
Personal or business leasing?
You can apply for Personal Contract Hire in your own name or Business Contract Hire for your business. The live examples in this guide are personal rentals including VAT, even if you are browsing in Business mode. Select Business to explore business prices on the stock pages, or ask us for the appropriate quote.
Why choose a pre-leased CUPRA?
More of the car you want within your budget
A CUPRA lease lets you choose between a compact electric hatchback and two different plug-in hybrid crossover shapes. A pre-leased CUPRA has already been through its initial depreciation. Leasing it at its used value can mean a lower rental than leasing new, with the individual quote showing what that means for your chosen car. You can put the rental alongside your other regular costs and decide whether the whole package works for you.
Giving an electric CUPRA another lease of life
Choosing a pre-leased battery-electric CUPRA keeps an existing car and its battery in use. Battery-electric CUPRA cars produce no tailpipe emissions while driving. Manufacturing and charging electricity still contribute to their overall footprint.
UK government guidance explains that a typical electric car has lower lifetime greenhouse-gas emissions than an equivalent petrol car, including battery production and disposal. That is general EV evidence, rather than a measured saving for an individual used CUPRA.
A scheduled return without finding a buyer
At the agreed end, return the CUPRA subject to the mileage and condition terms. Lex owns and resells it and takes the resale-value risk. You can choose your next car without arranging a private sale or negotiating a part-exchange.
How do I arrange my CUPRA lease?
- Tell us which CUPRA interests you. We will help you choose from the available cars and confirm the details that matter to you.
- Review your quote. We will place a temporary reservation while you look through the figures.
- Complete the paperwork online. We will guide you through the credit application and your agreement with Lex Autolease.
- Take delivery. Once your application is approved and the car is ready, we will arrange included mainland UK delivery to your door.
