Cookie and GDPR Policy
Essential cookies and functional browser storage keep vehicle searches, lease settings, enquiries and other requested website features working. These features do not depend on accepting optional cookies. Marketing subscriptions have their own separate opt-in.
Before you accept optional cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads receive limited cookieless measurements with advertising storage and advertising user-data consent set to denied. Advertising click identifiers are redacted from Google Ads measurement requests and we do not enable Google URL passthrough. These requests still communicate with Google; cookieless does not mean that no data leaves your browser.
Once you accept Google cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads can use cookies for measurement. Our first-party vehicle attribution cookie operates independently of this choice, as described below. Personalised advertising and Google signals remain disabled. Read how Google uses information from websites that use its services.
The Accept and Decline actions in our cookie dialog control Google measurement cookies. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. We store your choice in the cookieConsent cookie for one year. Withdrawing consent sets Google storage and advertising user-data consent to denied, removes accessible Google tracking cookies and reloads the page. Limited cookieless Google measurement, first-party vehicle attribution and essential website features continue.
Search records can be stored independently of the Google cookie choice. If you have supplied an email address during your visit, search history may be linked to it. Storing and handling details that you submit in an enquiry is separate from optional-cookie consent, and accepting cookies does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
On Second Life Leasing, we record used-vehicle detail views and use a first-party attribution cookie for 30 days after your most recent visit. This operates before acceptance and after rejection of Google cookies. It uses random visitor and visit codes to recognise returning browsers, group views and record traffic sources such as advertising, organic search, email, referrals or direct visits. A new visit starts after 30 minutes of inactivity. View records contain the vehicle and lease settings displayed but no IP address or contact details. Advertising click identifiers are stored in the vehicle-view record only as a one-way hash. Device category is also recorded independently of the Google cookie choice.
On Second Life Leasing, the browser also stores the start of the current browsing session and whether the used-vehicle alert popup has already been shown. This functional browser storage is used only to wait one minute before showing the popup and to prevent it from automatically appearing again. It does not contain contact details or vehicle preferences. Clearing browser data removes this preference.
The rules about cookies on websites have changed. If you are uncomfortable with the use of cookies, you can disable cookies on your computer by changing the settings in the preferences or options menu in your browser. You can set your browser to reject or block cookies or to tell you when a website tries to put a cookie on your computer. You can also delete any cookies that are already stored on your computer's hard drive. However, please be aware that if you do delete and block all cookies from our website, parts of the site may not work. Likewise, you may not be able to use some products and services on other websites without cookies.

Email Marketing Communications, Tracking, and GDPR
Should you choose to opt-in to our direct marketing communications, we will use your information to inform you about our products and services that might interest you. To monitor the effectiveness of our email marketing campaigns, we employ analytics tracking in the following ways:
- Email Read; this involves the use of a 'clear image' (gif) to track email campaign reads. Users have the option to disable tracking by turning off images in the email.
- Clicks; if a subscriber clicks a weblink within our email, the specifics of the clicked link, along with the date and time of the click, are automatically sent to our analytics.
- Unsubscribes; if a user opts to unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe link, their email address is immediately removed from our database and added to our suppression list to avoid accidental future mailings. The date and time of the unsubscribe action are also recorded.
You reserve the right to opt-out of our email marketing communications at any time. Opting out can be done by following the Unsubscribe instructions at the end of the communication or by reaching out to us via phone, letter, or email.
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that your data is handled securely and responsibly. To safeguard your information, we implement various security measures, including encryption and access controls, to prevent unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure of your data.
If you have any concerns about how your data is used or stored, or if you have any other privacy-related queries, please do not hesitate to contact us at legal@availvehiclecontracts.co.uk. We are here to assist you with any questions or requests you may have regarding your privacy.
