Can you lease a used Mercedes-Benz?

Yes. Second Life Leasing offers pre-leased Mercedes-Benz cars for personal and business leasing in the UK, with full maintenance and premium replacement tyres included. Browse our current Mercedes-Benz listings for the cars, photographs and lease options available today.

You choose a specific car with its own photographs, specification and recorded mileage. Pay an initial rental followed by monthly rentals, then return the car at the agreed end. Applications are subject to approval.

Where does my Mercedes-Benz come from?

Second Life Leasing’s Mercedes-Benz cars come directly from Lex Autolease, part of Lloyds Banking Group, after their first lease. Lex continues to own the car and offers it for another lease. We help you choose and arrange it; your hire agreement is with Lex Autolease.

A first lease with a known history

Lex bought the car from new and managed its first lease, with agreed mileage, servicing and return standards. That gives your next Mercedes-Benz a known leasing history. The individual listing and vehicle information tell you about the particular car you are considering.

Safety checks and preparation

Each car goes through safety checks and preparation for its next driver. It is still a used car, and we will highlight known minor cosmetic imperfections before you decide, so you can picture what will arrive.

What are the current Mercedes-Benz lease prices?

The car you choose, contract term, annual mileage and payment profile all affect the rental. Compare the initial payment as well as the monthly figure when deciding what fits your budget.

Which Mercedes-Benz model and version should you choose?

EQA: a compact electric starting point

The EQA suits someone who wants an electric Mercedes-Benz with a compact footprint and a raised seating position. Compare the EQA 250 and 250+ with the 300 and 350 4MATIC versions. The numbers identify powertrain versions; AMG Line is an equipment and styling designation, so it does not establish the motor layout.

The 250+ drives the front wheels, while the 4MATIC versions add a second driven axle, as Mercedes explains in its EQA technical overview. Battery specifications also vary. For a regular long commute, compare the particular battery and charging capability before choosing on trim.

EQB: a more flexible family layout

Look at the EQB if occasional extra passengers are part of your life. Mercedes describes its capacity for up to seven people. Confirm the individual car’s seating arrangement, then try the rear access with the people who will use it. An occasional third row and a full boot of holiday luggage make different demands on the same space.

The 250+, 300 4MATIC and 350 4MATIC need comparing as separate versions. Prioritise the seats and luggage arrangement you need, then consider whether the additional driven axle and performance are worth the rental to you.

EQC: a larger electric SUV from an earlier generation

The EQC 400 4MATIC gives you a larger electric SUV to consider alongside an EQA or EQB. Mercedes identifies it as its first model under the EQ brand. Its earlier electric-car design should be assessed on its own charging system and cabin, rather than the capabilities of a newer electric Mercedes.

If it appeals for family trips, compare the rear seating, loading opening and parking footprint. The EQC name is close to EQB, but these are different vehicles, rather than successive trim levels.

EQE: choose the saloon or SUV body first

The EQE comes as a low-roof saloon and a taller SUV. That body choice deserves attention before the 300, 350+ or 500 4MATIC designation. For a driver who prefers sitting lower, the saloon is the natural comparison; for someone who values a higher seat and hatchback access, consider the SUV.

Do not assume their boots, batteries or rear headroom are identical because the badge says EQE. Check the full derivative and body in the listing, particularly when comparing quotes for similarly named versions.

Electric CLA: distinguish it from earlier CLA cars

The CLA 250+ with EQ Technology is an electric saloon from the newer CLA generation. It uses an 800-volt electrical system. This makes it a separate proposition from earlier petrol and plug-in hybrid CLAs, rather than simply a different engine badge.

For frequent public charging, confirm the exact car’s compatibility with the chargers you plan to use. An 800-volt architecture alone is not a promise about charging time or compatibility at every site.

A 250 e and GLC 300 e: petrol with plug-in flexibility

The A 250 e offers a compact hatchback or saloon; the GLC 300 e offers an SUV body and 4MATIC. Both combine a petrol engine with a battery you charge. They can suit local electric journeys with petrol available for longer trips, provided regular charging fits your routine.

GLC plug-in technology changed with the new generation introduced in 2022. Establish the actual generation before comparing battery, charging and luggage space. A GLC 300 e registration around a model change does not settle those details.

Choose the equipment you will use

Executive, Premium and Premium Plus packages vary between models and years. Start with the controls and seats you will use on every journey, then check parking cameras, the exact driver-assistance package and phone connection. AMG Line styling alone does not confirm those features.

Equipment and charging specifications can change during production. Confirm the manufacturer’s specification, fitted options, cables and any connected-service subscriptions for the actual car before ordering; registration year and trim name alone do not tell the whole story.

What comes with my Mercedes-Benz lease?

Second Life Leasing’s full maintenance package brings the routine upkeep into your lease, helping you plan for more than the rental alone.

Servicing, maintenance and premium replacement tyres

Servicing, maintenance, replacement tyres and MOT when required are included. Replacement tyres are premium brands, with mobile fitting where possible. Collection and return for servicing and maintenance are included, subject to limitations.

Breakdown cover and road fund tax

Breakdown cover includes a replacement vehicle for up to 48 hours if needed, plus cover for driving abroad. Check the overseas arrangements with Lex before travelling. Road fund tax is included for the duration of your lease.

Online support

The Lex Vehicle Leasing app gives you a way to book servicing, request support and find your contract documents. Use the lease company’s support route for your maintained agreement.

What do I pay for separately?

Allow for insurance and fuel or charging. Your quote and agreement also explain applicable fees and contract charges, including excess mileage and damage charges. Included maintenance helps with budgeting without making every motoring cost fixed.

What happens if my Mercedes-Benz develops a fault?

Contact Lex Autolease through its support process. Under Second Life Leasing’s full maintenance offering, Lex arranges covered repairs in line with your agreement, so you have a clear route to getting help.

Does the manufacturer’s warranty matter?

Where a manufacturer’s warranty applies, Lex handles the claim behind the scenes. Your repair support follows the maintained lease agreement; you do not need to work out the remaining manufacturer’s warranty before reporting a problem.

What about an electric Mercedes-Benz’s battery?

Our pre-leased battery-electric Mercedes-Benz cars come with a guaranteed minimum battery condition of 85% at delivery. That is a delivery baseline, rather than a guarantee throughout the lease or a promise of a particular driving range.

Can I choose the term and mileage?

Yes. Each car’s listing shows its available contract terms, annual mileage allowances and payment profiles. Choose mileage around your normal year, including commuting, business journeys and holidays.

The payment profile determines how much you pay initially and in subsequent rentals. Choose a term you are comfortable committing to, and review the agreement’s provisions and charges for changing or ending it early.

Personal or business leasing?

You can apply for Personal Contract Hire in your own name or Business Contract Hire for your business. The live examples in this guide are personal rentals including VAT, even if you are browsing in Business mode. Select Business to explore business prices on the stock pages, or ask us for the appropriate quote.

Why choose a pre-leased Mercedes-Benz?

More of the car you want within your budget

Mercedes-Benz gives you a meaningful choice between compact electric cars, family SUVs, lower saloons and plug-in hybrids, so the right body and powertrain can matter more than choosing the highest trim. A pre-leased Mercedes-Benz has already been through its initial depreciation. Leasing it at its used value can mean a lower rental than leasing new, with the individual quote showing what that means for your chosen car. You can put the rental alongside your other regular costs and decide whether the whole package works for you.

Giving an electric Mercedes-Benz another lease of life

Choosing a pre-leased battery-electric Mercedes-Benz keeps an existing car and its battery in use. Battery-electric Mercedes-Benz cars produce no tailpipe emissions while driving. Manufacturing and charging electricity still contribute to their overall footprint.

UK government guidance explains that a typical electric car has lower lifetime greenhouse-gas emissions than an equivalent petrol car, including battery production and disposal. That is general EV evidence, rather than a measured saving for an individual used Mercedes-Benz.

A scheduled return without finding a buyer

At the agreed end, return the Mercedes-Benz subject to the mileage and condition terms. Lex owns and resells it and takes the resale-value risk. You can choose your next car without arranging a private sale or negotiating a part-exchange.

How do I arrange my Mercedes-Benz lease?

  1. Tell us which Mercedes-Benz interests you. We will help you choose from the available cars and confirm the details that matter to you.
  2. Review your quote. We will place a temporary reservation while you look through the figures.
  3. Complete the paperwork online. We will guide you through the credit application and your agreement with Lex Autolease.
  4. Take delivery. Once your application is approved and the car is ready, we will arrange included mainland UK delivery to your door.
