The Complete Guide to Leasing a Used Suzuki

Grey-green Suzuki e Vitara electric SUV in a pale grey studio, viewed from the front three-quarter angle

By Alex · Guide reviewed . Live stock examples update separately.

Can you lease a used Suzuki?

Yes. Second Life Leasing offers pre-leased Suzuki cars for personal and business leasing in the UK, with full maintenance and premium replacement tyres included. Browse Suzuki stock if you are weighing a petrol-electric S-Cross against the fully electric e Vitara.

You choose a specific car with its own photographs, specification and recorded mileage. Pay an initial rental followed by monthly rentals, then return the car at the agreed end. Applications are subject to approval.

Where does my Suzuki come from?

Second Life Leasing’s Suzuki cars come directly from Lex Autolease, part of Lloyds Banking Group, after their first lease. Lex continues to own the car and offers it for another lease. We help you choose and arrange it; your hire agreement is with Lex Autolease.

A first lease with a known history

Lex bought the car from new and managed its first lease, with agreed mileage, servicing and return standards. That gives your next Suzuki a known leasing history. The individual listing and vehicle information tell you about the particular car you are considering.

Safety checks and preparation

Each car goes through safety checks and preparation for its next driver. It is still a used car, and we will highlight known minor cosmetic imperfections before you decide, so you can picture what will arrive.

What are the current Suzuki lease prices?

The car you choose, contract term, annual mileage and payment profile all affect the rental. Compare the initial payment as well as the monthly figure when deciding what fits your budget.

There are currently no live Suzuki personal lease examples. Check all current Suzuki stock or return here when matching cars are available.

Which Suzuki model and version should you choose?

S-Cross 1.5 Full Hybrid: petrol driving without a plug

The S-Cross 1.5 Full Hybrid is worth considering if you want a compact SUV and do not plan to plug in. Its petrol engine works with an electric motor and a small hybrid battery. It is a full hybrid, rather than a plug-in hybrid or a battery-electric car, so a public charging stop is not part of its normal use.

The 1.5 Full Hybrid uses an automated manual transmission, identified as AGS in Suzuki’s material. Compare that specific powertrain rather than assuming all automatic S-Cross models are identical. The UK S-Cross brochure separates the 1.5 Full Hybrid from the 1.4 Boosterjet Mild Hybrid. If you want an automatic for traffic and parking, take time to familiarise yourself with its controls and operation.

Check the hybrid’s luggage space

The S-Cross body gives you an SUV-style seating position, but the hybrid version makes a difference to the luggage area. Suzuki’s UK brochure lists a 293-litre seats-up boot for the 1.5 Full Hybrid, compared with 430 litres for the 1.4 Mild Hybrid. Use the figure for the actual powertrain rather than a generic S-Cross boot capacity.

For a couple carrying shopping or weekend bags, that may be perfectly workable. A large pushchair or bulky equipment makes a physical loading check more valuable. Try the rear-seat fold and the space left when passengers are aboard, rather than choosing from the exterior size alone.

e Vitara: Suzuki’s battery-electric alternative

The e Vitara is a separate electric model, not a petrol Vitara with a hybrid badge. It uses a platform developed for battery-electric driving and needs to be charged from an external supply. The launch specification introduced 49kWh and 61kWh batteries, with different drive layouts.

A 61kWh Motion is the larger-battery choice to compare if you want electric driving and more flexibility between charging stops. Work out where it would charge on an ordinary week and what your longest regular journey involves. Battery size identifies the version; it does not guarantee the same distance in winter, on a motorway or with a full load.

Battery size and all-wheel drive are separate choices

Do not assume every Suzuki SUV has all-wheel drive. The e Vitara’s ALLGRIP-e system uses an electric drive unit on each axle, while two-wheel-drive versions use a different layout. A 61kWh battery alone does not establish which drive system a particular car has.

Choose around the journeys you actually make, then check the complete derivative. The S-Cross Full Hybrid is the simpler comparison when plugging in does not suit your routine; the e Vitara is the one to explore when electric driving and a practical charging plan fit together. In both cases, seat access, your usual luggage and the quoted lease terms matter more than assuming a badge tells the whole story.

Choose the equipment you will use

Motion is an equipment grade, rather than a description of the powertrain. Compare the fitted parking camera, phone connection, seat adjustment and luggage arrangement on each car. Ask for the correct model-year specification before treating equipment shown on a newer Suzuki as included on the one you are considering.

Equipment and charging specifications can change during production. Confirm the manufacturer’s specification, fitted options, cables and any connected-service subscriptions for the actual car before ordering; registration year and trim name alone do not tell the whole story.

What comes with my Suzuki lease?

Second Life Leasing’s full maintenance package brings the routine upkeep into your lease, helping you plan for more than the rental alone.

Servicing, maintenance and premium replacement tyres

Servicing, maintenance, replacement tyres and MOT when required are included. Replacement tyres are premium brands, with mobile fitting where possible. Collection and return for servicing and maintenance are included, subject to limitations.

Breakdown cover and road fund tax

Breakdown cover includes a replacement vehicle for up to 48 hours if needed, plus cover for driving abroad. Check the overseas arrangements with Lex before travelling. Road fund tax is included for the duration of your lease.

Online support

The Lex Vehicle Leasing app gives you a way to book servicing, request support and find your contract documents. Use the lease company’s support route for your maintained agreement.

What do I pay for separately?

Allow for insurance and fuel or charging. Your quote and agreement also explain applicable fees and contract charges, including excess mileage and damage charges. Included maintenance helps with budgeting without making every motoring cost fixed.

What happens if my Suzuki develops a fault?

Contact Lex Autolease through its support process. Under Second Life Leasing’s full maintenance offering, Lex arranges covered repairs in line with your agreement, so you have a clear route to getting help.

Does the manufacturer’s warranty matter?

Where a manufacturer’s warranty applies, Lex handles the claim behind the scenes. Your repair support follows the maintained lease agreement; you do not need to work out the remaining manufacturer’s warranty before reporting a problem.

What about an electric Suzuki’s battery?

Our pre-leased battery-electric Suzuki cars come with a guaranteed minimum battery condition of 85% at delivery. That is a delivery baseline, rather than a guarantee throughout the lease or a promise of a particular driving range.

Can I choose the term and mileage?

Yes. Each car’s listing shows its available contract terms, annual mileage allowances and payment profiles. Choose mileage around your normal year, including commuting, business journeys and holidays.

The payment profile determines how much you pay initially and in subsequent rentals. Choose a term you are comfortable committing to, and review the agreement’s provisions and charges for changing or ending it early.

Personal or business leasing?

You can apply for Personal Contract Hire in your own name or Business Contract Hire for your business. The live examples in this guide are personal rentals including VAT, even if you are browsing in Business mode. Select Business to explore business prices on the stock pages, or ask us for the appropriate quote.

Why choose a pre-leased Suzuki?

More of the car you want within your budget

Suzuki’s useful dividing line is simple: an S-Cross Full Hybrid uses petrol without plugging in, while an e Vitara needs a charging routine. A pre-leased Suzuki has already been through its initial depreciation. Leasing it at its used value can mean a lower rental than leasing new, with the individual quote showing what that means for your chosen car. You can put the rental alongside your other regular costs and decide whether the whole package works for you.

Giving an electric Suzuki another lease of life

Choosing a pre-leased battery-electric Suzuki keeps an existing car and its battery in use. Battery-electric Suzuki cars produce no tailpipe emissions while driving. Manufacturing and charging electricity still contribute to their overall footprint.

UK government guidance explains that a typical electric car has lower lifetime greenhouse-gas emissions than an equivalent petrol car, including battery production and disposal. That is general EV evidence, rather than a measured saving for an individual used Suzuki.

A scheduled return without finding a buyer

At the agreed end, return the Suzuki subject to the mileage and condition terms. Lex owns and resells it and takes the resale-value risk. You can choose your next car without arranging a private sale or negotiating a part-exchange.

How do I arrange my Suzuki lease?

  1. Tell us which Suzuki interests you. We will help you choose from the available cars and confirm the details that matter to you.
  2. Review your quote. We will place a temporary reservation while you look through the figures.
  3. Complete the paperwork online. We will guide you through the credit application and your agreement with Lex Autolease.
  4. Take delivery. Once your application is approved and the car is ready, we will arrange included mainland UK delivery to your door.
